Food for Thought

I just came home from celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday. She had a couple of sayings that I thought were related to the school  (she didn’t get them from me – honest!)

First (By Albert Einstein)

Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing he is stupid.

This reminds me why I work so hard to custom tailor the programs at Avante School for each student.

Second (unknown origin)

Dont spoil what you have by desiring what you have not, because what you have was once something you had hoped for.

We are not sure where this one came from but they are nice words to remember when you are working toward future goals – including graduation.

Third (by Shiraya Hamm)

To find perfection is to see imperfection perfectly.

This is my daughter’s original. A nice play on perspective which you might expect of an aspiring young artist.
